The Agoonyar Gaabane and Habarnugaale clans have officially submitted a complaint against government officials Cabdullahi Maxamednuur and Cabdullahi Macallin Mukhtaar, accusing them of misusing funds allocated by the central government for the Macawiisleey militia. The clans claim the officials used the money for political interests and to create divisions among the Macawiisleey members of those clans.
This issue sparked significant unrest and protests among Macawiisleey fighters at the frontlines, threatening internal stability. Following public pressure and a direct complaint, the Hirshabelle regional administration—specifically the Ministry of Finance—quickly responded and thoroughly investigated the matter.
Ultimately, the Ministry of Finance resolved the issue by disbursing the funds that were rightfully owed to the Macawiisleey members and the concerned clans, restoring peace and trust among those who had raised the complaint.
