Senator Hassan Iidow Muhumed, widely known as Xassan Kobac, a member of Somalia’s Upper House, has once again provided food aid to underprivileged families in Farlibaax district. Since the beginning of the holy month of Ramadan, he has been actively supporting vulnerable communities in Baladweyne and Farlibaax through iftar food distributions, water supply initiatives, and general aid.
This annual humanitarian effort is spearheaded by the Kobac Foundation, which has consistently provided relief to the needy. During Ramadan, the foundation delivered food aid to over 100 impoverished individuals in Farlibaax, ensuring they had essential supplies to sustain them during the fasting period.
In response to a severe water shortage affecting the district, Kobac Foundation also arranged for free water distribution to the residents. Community members expressed their heartfelt gratitude to Senator Kobac for his generosity, praying for divine rewards in return.
“Our brother, Hassan Kobac, has sent us vital food supplies, including rice, sugar, cooking oil, and dates. We are also receiving water, and we deeply appreciate his support,” said a local elder.
A woman who benefited from the aid echoed similar sentiments, saying, “The senator’s kindness has reached us. We received flour, rice, sugar, cooking oil, and dates. May Allah bless him. Our district faces many hardships and needs even more support.”
For ten consecutive years, Senator Hassan Kobac and the Kobac Foundation have remained committed to supporting the less fortunate during Ramadan. Despite entering politics through the Hirshabelle regional administration, his humanitarian work has continued uninterrupted, benefiting hundreds of families.
Among his most memorable contributions to Farlibaax is the donation of an ambulance and medical aid, a legacy that has cemented his reputation as a leader who prioritizes the well-being of his people.
