MOGADISHU — The National Security Advisor to the President of the Federal Republic of Somalia, Aweis Haji Yusuf Ahmed, on Saturday received senior Norwegian diplomats in Mogadishu for talks focused on security cooperation and bilateral relations.
The meeting brought together Norway’s Special Representative and Chargé d’Affaires to Somalia, Mr. Einar and Ms. Merete, and took place at the Office of the National Security Advisor. Discussions centered on issues of mutual interest and ways to strengthen diplomatic and security cooperation between Somalia and Norway.
Officials exchanged views on enhancing collaboration in areas related to national security and broader diplomatic engagement. Norway has maintained a long-standing partnership with Somalia, providing support in security sector reforms, humanitarian assistance, and state-building efforts.
