The statement revealed that the airstrike operation was aimed at high-ranking leaders and militia members of Al-Shabaab, killing 29 individuals affiliated with the terror group. NISA further disclosed that another powerful airstrike took place in the Lower Shabelle region, specifically in the Jambaluul area, where 12 more Al-Shabaab members were killed.
In the statement issued by the intelligence agency, NISA confirmed that these operations, which began in the past 24 hours, are still ongoing. The agency stressed that a significant blow has been delivered to the terrorist group.
NISA advised civilians to avoid areas where Al-Shabaab militants are believed to be hiding, as these locations are targeted by the national forces.
