Prime Minister Hamza Reshuffles Cabinet, Sacks Ministers, and Appoints New Ones

The two ministers who lost their positions are Fardowsa Egal, the former Minister of Transport and Civil Aviation, and Mohamed Barre, the former Minister of Youth and Sports.

Prime Minister of the Federal Government of Somalia, Hamza Abdi Barre, has today issued a decree enacting a reshuffle of his cabinet, involving both the dismissal of some ministers and the appointment of new ones.

In the reshuffle, three ministers were transferred to different ministries, while two ministers were dismissed entirely. The cabinet has also seen the addition of new deputy ministers, some of whom are members of parliament, replacing those who previously held these posts.

The two ministers who lost their positions are Fardowsa Egal, the former Minister of Transport and Civil Aviation, and Mohamed Barre, the former Minister of Youth and Sports.

This move comes amid increasing pressure on the Prime Minister, following rumors of a motion to remove him from office led by some members of parliament. The reshuffle is widely believed to have been hastened by these political developments.
